Labyrinth

Hey everyone! This week was really good. We we found some more awesome

people! We found this couple named Beatrice and Derian, they are both

looking for a church and they said they will be at church next week,

elder herbine and I have this weird thing where every week after

church we find these solid people that want to come to church but they

have to wait a whole week for church! Haha but anyways, Gloria was

able to come to church this week and she absolutely loved it! We are

having dinner with her and the senior missionaries on Tuesday, she is

awesome and we are excited for her!

We had a church tour with this man named Michael Moriarty this week

and he really wants to get baptized but he is in the army and he is

going to the field for a few weeks so we won't be in contact for a few

weeks but he has desire to change his life and seems committed so we

will see what happens!

This week was also Zone Conference and interviews, it is always great

to be able to talk to President McCuiston and receive counsel from

him, he is truly a man called of God. Elder Crane and Labrum had

another baptism this week so that was awesome, those guys are studs

and I have learned a lot from them.

Junction City has been awesome, this transfer is flying by! My

testimony has really been strengthened and I have learned so much. I

truly know that Jesus Christ lives and that this is his restored

church. This is the way to happiness for eternity with our families. I

love this gospel so much and love being able to share it every day. I

love and miss you all. Thanks for everything! Have a good week!

Ice Storm

Hello! Hope you're all doing well! This week was pretty good! So all
week everyone was gearing up for this ice storm, but come Sunday
nothing really happened. The weather app was predicting 6-9 inches of
snow, and we got nothing except rain. They even cancelled church in
anticipation of the ice storm, but it was perfectly fine, but whatever
it's all good...

There was a baptism on Saturday, the fantastic branch elders, Elder
Crane and Elder Labrum baptized this man named Miguel. We were able to
have one of our investigators named Gloria attend that and now she is
looking forward to being baptized as well! It was really awesome.

Matthew and Hillary who I talked about last week were committed to
church but were unable to attend because... there was no church... but
they are still doing really well! We are excited for them.

I got sick on Thursday night and was in the apartment all day in
Friday so that was unfortunate, sitting in the apartment really stinks
as a missionary. At home it's okay cuz you can watch movies or play
video games, but as a missionary the only thing to do is sleep and
read the scriptures... that gets old real quick haha. I'm feeling good
now though so that's good.

Endure to the end Jan.9-2017

Hello everyone! This week was good but it was definitely a test! We
were having a hard time finding success throughout the week but on
Saturday we were tracting and we met this awesome guy named Matthew,
he let us in and we were able to teach him the restoration. Yesterday
we went back and taught him and his wife Hillary. They are now
preparing for baptism! Elder Herbine and I have felt that this week
the lord was testing us to see if we would continue to work hard even
when it wasn't going so well. But at the end of the week he rewarded
us for our efforts. I know that the lord will never let us down. Sorry
this week was really short but we didn't do that much haha. But thank
you all for everything! I love and miss each one of you!

Junction City- Jan.2-2017

Hey everyone! Well I had my first week in Junction City this week and
it was awesome! Both me and my companion are new to the area so we
have been meeting lots of new people. My companion is Elder Herbine
and he's a stud! He's from Arizona and loves sports, so it should be a
good transfer. My district is also awesome, everyone besides Elder
Labrum has been out for 6 months or less so we are all fairly new. 4
people I came out with are in my district so that's super fun.
Junction City is full of people in the military! It is right by Fort
Riley so there are tons out here. It's awesome, I love it!

This week was pretty good, yesterday we found this lady named
Kristina, we talked to her for a bit and she has been going through
some rough things. We taught her about how God loves her and about the
restoration, she started crying during the lesson and now she is on
date for baptism on the 28th.

I am loving this place, I have already improved so much over the past
week. I've learned a lot from the missionaries I've been serving with,
it's given me another perspective on how missionary work is done. I'm
grateful for this opportunity to serve in this amazing mission, I
really would not rather be anywhere else, I know that a God called me
here for a reason. Thank you all for all your support! I love and miss
all of you! Happy New Years!

Christmas

Well hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas! I got to talk
to some of you yesterday which was great! But I am just going to give
you guys a quick update of my week!

So we had Christmas Eve with some members which was fantastic, the
members were really good to us for Christmas so I'm grateful for that.
At church on Christmas we had quite a few people there including some
non members, so we were talking to this one lady there who we didn't
know and she told us she wants to get baptized! We said we have to
check our schedule first but we told her we might be able to squeeze
her in haha. That was awesome! Christmas miracle! She is on date for
January 14th!

Transfers are this week and I found out I am going to Junction city! I
am so pumped. My new companion is elder herbine. I hear he's a good
guy so it should be fun! I'm also going to be in the same district as
elder crane, so it should be a lot of fun.

COLD!❄️

Hey friends and family! Merry Christmas! Hope you're all doing well.
This week was so good! But very very cold! On Saturday it snowed and
was windy as heck! It got down to -15 with the wind chill, it was
COLD! We went tracting that day and the people opened the door and
most of them just said "what the heck are you doing out in this?!" But
it was fun, a lot of them let us in because of the weather so that's
always good.

On Wednesday we went to Manhattan for zone conference, it was really
fun, we had a little bit of a Christmas party. But also had some good
spiritual experiences so that's always good. We had interviews on
Thursday in Salina and I always love those, president mccuiston is
really a man called of God.

We have been tracting a lot this week and have actually found a lot of
success! Who says tracting isn't effective? I love it! We even found
this awesome girl named Nikki tracting, she is so awesome! We have
been working with her this week and we found out that her mom is
actually a member and is wanting to come back to church! Funny story
with her, on Saturday it was cold as I said and we had been tracting
for a while so we thought we would go to the church to get out of the
cold for a few minutes, we were there for maybe 15 minutes and then we
were about to leave but then we saw a van pull up and it was Nikki and
her mom! I guess we had set up an appointment with her at the church
for that time we had just forgot (we are bad missionaries) haha so I
guess the lord led us to the church so that we could meet them there!
That was so great and then yesterday they made it to church both her
and her mom and Nikki is excited for her baptism on January 7th!
Woohoo! So excited for her!

This week has been awesome! We have had some awesome success and we
are so excited for this area, we even had 2 families move in which
just about doubles the wards attendance on sundays. Anyways thank you
guys for all your support and love. I love all of you and hope you
have a Merry Christmas!
