Easter and....Chris Harris!

Hell everyone! This week was amazing! So first off... I have to tell
you that my dreams came true on Saturday. We went to the KU football
spring game, 2 of the members in our ward are actually on the coaching
staff so we took an investigator and went! So anyways, Chris Harris,
the Broncos Pro Bowl corner and my favorite player in the NFL, was at
the game because he played at Kansas and they were honoring past
players. Long story short... I got to meet him and get a picture with
him! It was sweet!

So anyways... this week was really good! We met this awesome family,
Erika is the mom and she has 3 kids. We taught them all and they are
now preparing for baptism! They were going to come to church but then
something came up at the last minute 😔 but they said they will be
there next week! So we are very excited about them!

So Clay and Dani, a couple I taught in JC with Elder Labrum got
married on Friday so they can both get baptized! So exciting for them!
They are so awesome and I'm so happy for them.

Yesterday was really great, we had a really good program at church, 3
little girls sang the song gethsemane, it was so good and the spirit
was so strong. I hope you all had a great Easter. It's always a great
time to celebrate Jesus Christ and his atonement and resurrection. I
have come to understand the atonement of Jesus Christ on my mission
and it has really helped me so much out here. I love you all and am
thankful for this opportunity to serve in Kansas! Have a great week!

Woohoo! April 10, 2017

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well! It's a wonderful April
morning and I'm loving it here in beautiful Lawrence! His week was
fantastic! We had some ups and some downs but it was overall a great
week.

Robin is doing good, she's going through some really hard times, her
uncle died and she has picked up smoking because she's been so
stressed out over the past couple weeks. But she's still very
interested and will get baptized eventually. John is a fool, he hates
us now, idk what happened but he cussed us out and told us to never
come back... but that's okay the lord provided a miracle!

We were walking down the street and we were just waving to everyone
and so one guy pulled up next to us and told us he had studied with
the Mormon church before but never got baptized. We had a lesson with
him and now he's preparing for baptism in may! It was awesome!

General Conference and Miracles, April 3, 2017

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well! This week was amazing! I
really enjoyed Conference and all the wonderful talks. I'm doing
really good! This week was really awesome! We saw someone miracles
this week. So Robin is doing really well, we had a lesson with her and
she started crying. It was a really spiritual lesson, she's going
through some hard things right now and she's been finding peace
through the Book of Mormon and prayer. She is going to be baptized
this month. We also met this man named John Powell this week. So this
was an amazing miracle, so we plan every day to see specific people at
certain times and we were on our way to see this potential
investigator but all of the sudden I felt this prompting to go see
Robin, so we went over to robins and she wasn't there so we started
talking to people in a nearby apartment complex. All of the sudden we
saw this guy sitting down, so we went and talked to him, it turns out
he was on the phone with his Mormon girlfriend and she had been
telling him about the church for a few weeks and he had been wanting
to get ahold of the missionaries to talk. We went on to talk to him
for about an hour and now he is being baptized on the 22nd! He
believes that Joseph Smith is a prophet and he told us how he had been
walking around but he felt like he should come over here for some
reason. Now we know that it was because he was meant to meet us.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk

Hello everybody! I hope you are all having a fantastic week! My week
was really an up and down week, I had to leave JC which was hard but I
got to come up here to Lawrence, KS. I am going to kiss the people in
JC but am very excited for my new area. I love Lawrence so far! KU is
here so we have been on campus a lot and downtown all week and the
whole town was getting way pumped for the games this weekend, sadly
the Jayhawks lost and so it's calmed down now and everyone is really
sad... I really wanted the Jayhawks to win it all but I guess the lord
thought that I would get too distracted from the work haha. But
anyways I love it here and the people here love their Jayhawks. Maybe
next year!

I really like my new companion elder Candland, we are going to have
some fun this transfer! I miss Elder Labrum and he's going home in 5
weeks so I probably won't see him for the rest of my mission but I
learned a lot from him and he will be missed.

There wasn't much here when I got to Lawrence investigator wise but we
have worked hard and met this awesome lady named Robin! She came to a
baptism on Saturday and also went to the women's general broadcast!
She's awesome and really looking for the lord in her life.
