Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well! So this week has been
another awesome one! It's been our most successful thus far, we have
found 2 new people and put them on date for baptism. They are super
awesome. We had a church tour with one girl and committed her to
baptism there. The other one is an awesome kid in high school who
plays football. They both have friends in the ward, so that's really
good news. We also found this guy on the streets and put him on date
as well for October 8th. Hopefully they will all get baptized.
On Tuesday I went on exchanges with Elder Tonga the one of the Zone
leaders up in Salina. We had a lot of fun. He is going to play
football for BYU, he's a cool guy. We did a lot of freestyle rapping
haha so it was a good time.
On Wednesday we set up a football game and we played at mutual so that
was a good time. So last month I guess we had gone over on miles so we
were parked for 3 days and didn't get to drive the car, so we were on
foot or on bikes for those days.
On Saturday we did a lot of service and they gave us food in return
haha. We also were part of a baptism. The Spanish elders baptized this
girl named Maddie and that was really awesome, she's so cool! So after
that our district went out for sonic to celebrate.
Yesterday we drove clear out to St. John for this lady we got a media
referral for, but she gave us the wrong address and actually live
clear out near Kansas City. So that sucked but we had dinner with some
members there so that was good though.
Kansas is really growing on me, it has been hot and humid this week,
and there are soooo many bugs and mosquitos here, but it's actually
really beautiful. The people are so nice and we are finding a lot of
success here. It is good to see people coming closer to Christ when
you are working so hard, it's very rewarding, and it will be even more
rewarding to see them enter the waters of baptism and later enter the
temple and enjoy the happiness that we feel. I have thought about how
lucky and blessed I am to have the gospel and how much true happiness
it brings me to know that I can live with my family forever. It is
selfish to keep that to ourselves. Jesus Christ is waiting for you to
let him help you and to help them. I would invite you all to find
those people in your life that could use Jesus Christ and this joy in
their lives, because I've seen it bring happiness to people out here.
We invite all of our members out here to find those people in need of
Jesus Christ, and so I'd like to invite you all as well to do the
same. To help others to find this happiness as well. I love you all so
much and thank you guys for your support.
